Congratulations to the Lady Longhorn volleyball team for their 4th place finish at the 1A West Regional volleyball tournament last weekend! The 4th place finish earned them a birth to the state volleyball tournament this weekend in Casper. The Lady Longhorns will play Kaycee at 7:30 p.m. in the Events Center on Thursday night (Oct. 29th). The Longhorn H.S. football team will play in a quarterfinal play-off game against Midwest on the road. That game is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Midwest on Friday, October 30th. Please remember that since these are culminating events, admission will be charged. The fee is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for students/kids.
The Junior High boys basketball team will play two contests this weekend. On Friday, October 30th the boys travel to Cloud Peak in Manderson for games starting at 2:00/3:00 ("A" game first). On Saturday, October 31st the boys will host St. Stephens at 10:00/11:00. The schedule has Shoshoni coming here on Saturday, but St. Stephens is taking their place, and St. Stephens only has 9 boys so we plan on playing 6 quarters rather than 2 full games ("A" game first).

Volleyball at Kaycee Tournament

I had the pleasure of watching our girls varsity play at the Kaycee Jamboree! They were spectacular! They played "home town" Kaycee in the tournament championship in a best two out of three sets. Our team came up just short of upsetting the 3rd ranked Buckaroos. I guess the girls are saving that win for the state tournament. Well done girls!
